Richard Gere is set to star in an adaptation of the Israeli drama ?Nevelot." Written by Howard Gordon and executive produced by Warren Leight, the drama follows two elderly Vietnam vets and best friends who discover their monotonous lives up-heaved when a woman they both loved fifty years ago is killed in a car accident. Their lifelong regrets and secrets collide with their resentment of self-absorbed millennials, and an act of self-defense snowballs into a tragic series of events. The Wrap reports that not only will Gere star in the drama, he will executive-produce as well.
