VIDEO : Captain Marvel's New Costume Was Made On A Bet

Comicbook.com reports the current Captain Marvel costume was created on a bet between Kellys Sue DeConnick and Jamie McKelvie.

The current suit debuted in DeConnick's 'Higher, Further, Faster, More' storyline, where Carol Danvers officially went by Captain Marvel.

The suit was designed by McKelvie, but making the redesign happen was tricky at first.

DeConnick said the character didn't have the notoriety she has now, so Marvel didn't want to give them a lot of money.
