According to Channel24, Sunday's Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 helped raise $7.2 billion dollars, which will help 137.4 million people.
The December 2 concert was held for the first time in Africa, at the SNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
Hosted by Trevor Noah, headlining performances included Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, and Usher.
While over 75,000 Global Citizens attended the event and millions tuned in from over 180 countries, the real action took place months before the concert.
Global Citizens reportedly took over 5.65 million actions, leading to 58 commitments and announcements worth $7.2 billion dollars.
This included financial commitments from world and business leaders, non-profits, socially conscious artists, and thousands of Global Citizens.
They were all "united and recommitted to achieving the Global Goals for Sustainable Development and ending extreme poverty by 2030."
