Almost three years have passed since the last episode of Luther premiered on the BBC. UPROXX reports that the first teaser trailer for season five doesn't explain where Idris Elba?s character has been for the past three years, nor, does it offer anything concrete about the plot of the new season. Not much is actually known about the upcoming fifth season except that Elba's character 'DCI Luther' is back at work, with a new partner, Detective Sgt. Catherine Halliday played by Wunmi Mosaku. There is no word yet on the premiere date for Season 5.
