According to Broadcasting Cable, Netflix and The Roald Dahl Story Company have teamed up to turn several of Dahl's books into animated series. The collaboration will include Dahl's classic "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", Matilda and various other Dahl creations. Netflix said it ?intends to remain faithful to the quintessential spirit and tone of Dahl while also building out an imaginative story universe that expands far beyond the pages of the books themselves.? Production is set to start on the first animated series in 2019.
