According to CNN, Jerry Springer is headed back to TV.
The former host of the " Jerry Springer Show" has inked a deal with NBC for a new show, "Judge Jerry."
The show will feature the veteran talk show host as a judge in a courtroom.
Springer earned a law degree from Northwestern University in 1968.
He went on to have a career in politics, including a stint as the mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio, before landing his longtime talk show gig in 1991.
"Judge Jerry" is expected to premiere in the fall of 2019 and will be taped in front of a live studio audience.
