Michael B. Jordan is happy with **Black Panther** even if it doesn't win an Oscar.
Jordan played the Marvel film's antagonist, Erik "Killmonger" Stevens, opposite Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa
In a new interview with Essence, Jordan was asked if he thought the movie would win an Academy Award.
The actor said that regardless, he is proud of how the film "made such an impact culturally and around the world."
"If the Academy chooses to recognize that project for all of those reasons that?s amazing icing on the cake, but I think what the movie has done so far is truly incredible and a win all its own."
Marvel Studios is reportedly working hard to ensure that **Black Panther** gets a nomination for Best Picture.
