Sony's Spider-properties are likely to continue their box office success in 2018, as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is currently aiming for a substantial opening weekend next month. According to Deadline, the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is aiming for a debut between $30 million and $40 million when it arrives on December 14th. The film will have an entire weekend pretty much to itself, as the biggest holiday movies like Mary Poppins Returns, Aquaman, and Bumblebee, won't arrive until the following week. ?We are so excited about this movie, we're so proud of it,? the film's screenwriter, Phil Lord, said during Sony's CinemaCon panel.
