CNN reports that Sharon Tate's wedding dress was purchased by an anonymous buyer at Julien's Auctions in Los Angeles on Friday.
The dress sold for $56,250 dollars. It was one of a group of pieces being sold from her estate.
The late actress wore the silk mini-wedding dress when she married director Roman Polanski in London in 1968.
Best known for her role in the 1967 movie "Valley of the Dolls," she was 24 when she married Polanski.
But just two years later, when she was 26 and heavily pregnant with their child, Tate and four friends were killed in her home "by four members of Charles Manson's 'Family.'
The summer of 2019 will mark the 50th anniversary of her death, which was orchestrated by Charles Manson, who was convicted of murder and given the death sentence.
