According to Business Insider, Rocky fans will not be disappointed with "Creed II," the sequel of the original 2015 Creed film directed by Ryan Coogler.
With Steven Capel, Jr, a new director handpicked by Coogler at the helm, the movie is being called an "impressive continuation" to the "Rocky" franchise.
Adonis Creed, also known as the son of Apollo Creed is played by Michael B. Jordan, who steals the show. Business Insider says that he "delivers a performance that shows why he's a movie star."
Derived from a screenplay by Stallone and Joel Taylor, "Creed II" arrives six fights after Creed lost to "Pretty" Ricky Conlan in the first movie. Creed now faces the champion.
While there are intense training montages and fights, the film is anchored on what happens outside of the ring.
Business Insider explains, " What starts out as a revenge tale slowly evolves into a story of fathers and sons and the building of new legacies."
