Isan Elba was named the 2019 Golden Globes Ambassador by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. According to SFGate, this means that she will hand out trophies during the 2019 Golden Globe Awards. Additionally, she will work with a nonprofit organization to raise awareness for the cause of her choosing. She said: ?I feel honored to hold this title and use this role to not only further educate people on the work of the HFPA, but also shine a light on issues that I care about.? Isan said she wants to fight against the stigma of being vocal about mental health among African Americans.
