Are you itching to see The Grinch?
According to Screen Rant, the newest version of the 1957 Dr. Seuss holiday classic has "compelling tweaks to the story and characters for plenty of family fun."
Illumination Entertainment's The Grinch is narrated by Pharrell Williams. It follows the original story of an isolated, green animated character who lives alone and hates on Christmas.
The Grinch, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, meets "young Cindy Lou Who," (Cameron Seely) raised by a single mother (Rashida Jones), who is surrounded by all things Christmas, which brings the tale to the same conclusion as in the Seuss classic.
Screen Rant says that the film's 3D computer animation helps kick it up a notch.
They explain, "Not only is the setting of Whosville richly animated - with beautiful three-dimensional architecture and realistic-looking food that'll have viewers craving Christmas cookies - but the characters are rendered in incredibly thoughtful ways."
The modern message of the film may also resonate with young viewers.
Screen Rant adds, "the holidays aren't necessarily about family, but about being with those you love, whoever that may be."
