According to a report by Business Insider, throughout the decades, and even the centuries, sci-fi authors have predicted advances in science like computer hackers, bionic limbs, and iPads. Some of the most notable of these predictions include Jonathan Swift's writing about the twin moons of Mars in "Gulliver?s Travels" over 150 years before their discovery, as well as, Arthur C Clark's prediction of electronic papers or "newspads," which were essentially what would become iPads. Another example of frighteningly prescient authors is George Orwell's "1984" which predicted in 1949 the future world of mass surveillance, censorship, propaganda, and endless war.
