According to CNN, "The Girl in the Spider's Web" is bringing a lot of upgrades to the franchise.
The primary and most notable upgrade would be Claire Foy as the star, and a revamp of her character from a hacker to a vigilante.
The result is a thriller that offers more of an action type experience than the moody atmosphere that surrounded earlier versions.
The film comes seven years after the U.S. version of the late Stieg Larsson's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" was released.
