VIDEO : Swamp Thing Offered Role To Kurt Russell And Greg Kinnear

The cast of DC Universe's newest Swamp Thing series is beginning to take shape, with key parts being cast for the new horror series.
According to ComicBook.com, actor Will Patton has been tapped to play the primary role of Avery Sunderland.
Sources close to the project say they also reached out to Kurt Russell and Greg Kinnear for the role but both turned it down.
Swamp Thing reportedly will embrace the comic book's grisly, horror roots from writer Alan Moore.

The series is expected to debut on DC Universe sometime in 2018.
