Virginia Madsen has been cast in the recurring role of Maria Sunderland on DC Universe's Swamp Thing.
According to ComicBook.com, Madsen is a silver screen veteran with blockbusters like Dune and Candyman to her credit.
Swamp Thing will be co-written by Daredevil and Battlestar Galactica's Mark Verheiden and Gary Dauberman.
Swamp Thing, first made it's introduction to DC Comics in the 1970s and 1980s.
