VIDEO : U.S. Box Office Hits Unprecedented $12 Billion Within a Year

The domestic box office numbers have already hit an unprecedented high with two months still to go in 2018. ComScore and the National Alliance of Theater Owners announced that domestic grosses over the past 12 months have hit $12 billion. This is the first time it has ever reached that mark in such a time span, says TheWrap. During that time, several major blockbusters have hit theaters, starting with Marvel?s ?Thor: Ragnarok? with $315 million from its release in November 2017.
