John Krasinski's 'A Quiet Place' became one of 2018's most surprising box office hits. But his horror/thriller got off to a rocky start in its first and only test screening, says comicbook.com. The film's producers recently revealed that the laughter in the test screening was a result of unfinished special effects. The alien in the film was created from motion capture footage performed by John Krasinksi. When the test screening took place, the alien wasn't finished, so audiences simply saw Jim from 'The Office' in a grey bodysuit.
