VIDEO : Producers Reveal 'The Simpsons' Is Writing Apu Out

Apu is one of the most beloved characters on The Simpsons.
Now, thanks to a stand up comedian, the character is no more.
Last year, Hari Kondabolu released a documentary claiming 'The Simpsons' character Apu is racist.
Kondabolu slammed the character.
He said, among other things, that the character has unfairly informed white Americans? perceptions of those of Indian descent.
Another fact that offended Konbadolu: Apu was voiced by actor white actor, Hank Azaria.
In his documentary, Kondabolu demanded changes be made to Apu so he and other were no longer offended.
Now, a year later, the Simpsons producers responded by wriring the character out of the show completely.
