VIDEO : Oscar-Winning Directors Are Working W/ Netflix

As of right now, there are seven Oscar-winning directors working with Netflix to create content. They include Damien Chazelle, Joel and Ethan Coen, Alfonso Cuaron, Guillermo del Toro, Morgan Neville, Martin Scorsese, and Steven Soderbergh. Critics believe Netflix is partnering with all of these directors to increase it's chances of being apart of award season. As of now, Netflix has only won an Oscar for Best Documentary for it's film 'Icarus.' However, it's collaborations with the film directors might raise chances of winning other awards as well.
