According to comicbook.com, there have recently been dual announcements that both Luke Cage and Iron Fist have been cancelled from Netflix, with no plans for either show to get a third season. Although some Marvel fans are hoping that Luke Cage and Iron Fist will return in a Heroes for Hire series, many fans are seeing this as the beginning of the end for the Marvel Netflix universe. According to a report form Business Insider, it seems like the shows being removed form Netflix had declining social media buzz after their first seasons. There has also been speculation that creative differences could have impacted whether Netflix kept certain Marvel shows. In the meantime, Daredevil season 3 is now streaming on Netflix. Punisher season 2 and Jessica Jones season 3 are already in production and are expected to be released as planned.
