According to a report by SFGate, Universal and Blumhouse's 'Halloween' raked in 7.7 million dollars at the Thursday box-office, on track for a 60 million dollar opening weekend. The new movie takes place 40 years after the original, and follows Michael Myers as he escapes from the mental institution he's been locked up in for decades.
