According to Comicbook.com, President of AMC Charlie Collier says that the network is developing a "multigenerational universe" that revolves around The Walking Dead. AMC is focused on re-energizing the fans of The Walking Dead and in order to maintain that interest the network has previously declared its intentions to extend the universe for at least another decade through future television spinoffs of the series.
