Business Insider wrote about Jonah Hill making his directorial debut with his film 'Mid90's.'
He recently discussed his experience being a director and why skateboarding had to be in the film.
He also said he used his acting stills to get good performances out of kid actors and non-actors.
"Skateboarding had always been butchered in films. It's always done disrespectfully. So I took on a pretty major task, which I knew would be ready to be pounced on by skateboarders, but I knew I could show it respectfully and not from a place of authority but from a place of love and respect." He also revealed that he didn't show his kid actors the film until the premiere.
He said it was an emotional experience.
