According to Comicbook.com, Venom has scored an an 88% ?liked it? audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, surpassing the 84% earned by the romantic drama A Star Is Born which was Venom?s biggest competitor for the weekend box office. Although fans are excited over Venom, the film holds a 31% rotten from critics, while A Star Is Born scored 92% certified fresh from critics. Venom is expected to score big at the box office this weekend, scoring somewhere between $55 million to $70 million, and a potential worldwide earning of $160 million to $175 million.
