VIDEO : 'Venom' Shatters Box Office Records On Opening Night

Sony and Marvel's 'Venom' had a record-breaking premiere and the box office records are expected to continue breaking over the weekend. According to a report from Variety, 'Venom' earned a total of $10 million in preview showings on Thursday night. That's a new record for October previews. 'Venom' is also expected to take over the overall October opening weekend record, currently held by 'Gravity' which made $55.7 million in its debut in 2013. Comicbook.com reported that 'Venom' is expected to earn anywhere between $55 million and $70 million this weekend alone.
