Business Insider reports "Venom" took in $10 million in Thursday previews.
The Hollywood Reporter says that's a record-breaking figure for the month of October.
It puts the movie on pace to have the biggest opening weekend ever for the month.
The record is currently held by the 2013 movie "Gravity" ($55.78 million).
It seems audiences are ignoring the movie's 28% Rotten Tomatoes score.
Industry projections having "Venom" opening somewhere between $57 million - $65 million.
