Newser reports that a judge has sentenced former rap mogul Suge Knight to 28 years in prison for running down and killing a man. At sentencing, the courtroom was filled by nearly two dozen relatives of the victim, 55-year-old Terry Carter. Knight pleaded no contest two weeks ago to voluntary manslaughter the night before his trial for murder and attempted murder was to begin. Jessica Carter, one of eight family members who spoke in court, said of the victim, "He was so much more than the person the defendant killed with his truck".
