Chris Evans confirms that he's wrapped his reshoots for Anthony and Joe Russo's Avengers 4 and, thus, is officially done filming his part as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Evans has played quite a few superpowered characters over the years, namely getting his start with 20th Century Fox's first two Fantastic Four movies, but it wasn't until he made his debut as the iconic Marvel superhero in Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011 that he really hit his stride in the comic book movie world.
Ever since then, Captain America has been a defining force in the MCU, having led the Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Joss Whedon's The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, not to mention heading up the battle strategies in the Russos' Avengers: Infinity War. Of course, there were some hiccups along the way - in terms of Steve's relationships, not quality - with Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014 and Captain America: Civil War in 2016. But now, he's slated to make one last appearance in the MCU in Avengers 4 in 2019 before hanging up his shield... forever, it seems.
Evans has been busy filming the Avengers 4 reshoots, but he's now announced on Twitter that he's done with his scenes, which means, according to his current Marvel contract, that he's officially done with the MCU as a whole. That much is apparently evident in his quotation (below) - but is he, really? Is he actually done with the MCU or is he just indicating that he might be
