VIDEO : ?Jaws? Star Richard Dreyfuss Wants A Re-Release With A CGI Shark Upgrade

1975?s Jaws remains the best shark movie of all time.
Steven Spielberg famously lost his marbles during production over use of the mechanical shark.
Still, the shark was suitably terrifying as audiences don?t even see the creature until 80 minutes in.
Co-star Richard Dreyfuss recently said he?s convinced that a CGI version of the shark would make a bigger hit.
I think they should do it, it would be huge and it would open up the film to younger people. Is that blasphemy? No, no, I don?t think so. The technology now could make the shark look as good as the rest of the movie.

According to Uproxx, it was the clunky creation of the original shark that left room for audience?s imagination.
Could a CGI version possibly live up to what decades of overactive imaginations have produced?
