Is Venom part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
According to Screen Rant that question has been asked since Sony first announced the project.
Sony owns Spiderman and all related characters, including Venom.
Spiderman is in the MCU because of a deal between Sony and Disney.
Sony is allegedly starting their own super-hero universe with all it's Spiderman related characters.
For now, Venom isn't a part of the MCU.
However, that could change if Venom's popularity extends to Avengers and Disney/.Marvel fans.
