According to Refinery 29 most makeup, wearers are be tempted to pair a dramatic lip color with an overall glammed up look or even a smoky eye, but professionals say it's actually much better to leave the rest of your face alone. Makeup artist Patrick Ta, who works with celeb Olivia Munn says; "I find that keeping the eyes simple when doing a dark lip keeps things balanced- keep it simple with a few individual lashes, a touch of monochromatic blush, and a healthy glowing complexion."
