VIDEO : 'Akira' Leaving Netflix Soon

Netflix is about to lose out on one of the must-see anime pretty soon.
According to Netflix's latest list of outgoing titles, the site is poised to lose Akira.
ComicBook.com reports, the iconic movie will leave the streaming site on October 1st.
The film was made under director Katsuhiro Otomo and helped reignite animation stateside.
The movie tells the story of Shotaro Kaneda, a teen living in Neo-Tokyo following the end of World War III.
With society in ruins, Kaneda leads a local biker gang with his friend Tetsuo Shima.
Things get complicated when Testuo develops telekinetic abilities that threaten to upturn the world even more.
If you want to check out Akira, you better do so before its license expires on Netflix.
