It's unclear if America has forgiven Mel Gibson for his previous racist and anti-semitic rants, but it appears Hollywood has. According to UpRoxx, the Oscar-winning director has been given the go-ahead by Warner Brothers to launch a remake of Sam Peckinpah?s classic ultra-violent Western The Wild Bunch. Two years ago, Gibson directed Hacksaw Ridge which was nominated for a slew of Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. No release date has been announced for the western reboot.
