Jean-Claude Van Damme was originally cast as the creature in 1987's Predator, but creative differences drove him away.
Comicbook.com reports Larry Fong, the film's cinematographer, revealed a tribute to Van Damme's original suit in the upcoming reboot.
Fong shared a photo on Twitter, asking "Anyone knows what this has to do with the original Predator? ? and what the related Easter egg is in the new Predator?"
The original red insectoid suit prevented Van Damme from showing off kickboxing moves, which he thought would propel his acting career.
We never shot anything with him. It was a complete screw up with his agent, trying to hustle him into a job and didn't know what the movie was. It's silly. It was really silly.
