Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson were scheduled to attend the 2018 Emmys, but weren't present.
The comedian was nominated for awards with his "Saturday Night Live" co-stars, but skipped the Emmys.
In a statement to People, Grande's team said she is taking "time to heal and mend" with Davidson by her side.
She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.
