VIDEO : Clayne Crawford's Absence Will Be Addressed In 'Lethal Weapon'

According to Screenrant, Lethal Weapon's season 3 premiere will respectfully handle the absence of former lead character Riggs. Actor Clayne Crawford, who played the character, was fired from the show back in May after reports of several off-set clashes he had with co-star Damon Wayans. Seann William Scott was then cast to play Wesley Cole, the new partner to Wayans' Roger Murtaugh. While the season 2 finale left Riggs' fate somewhat ambiguous, it became clear that once Crawford was fired - a gunshot wound Riggs suffered would prove fatal. This then gave writers a clear path to write the character out. 'Lethal Weapon' season 3 premieres on FOX on Tuesday, September 25.
