Black actors have made Emmys Awards history. Refinery29 reports that the four awards for the guest actor categories for the awards show were swept by black actors and actresses. Tiffany Haddish won an Emmy for guest hosting Saturday Night Live in November 2017. Samira Wiley won her first Emmy for Best Guest Actress in a Drama for "The Handmaid?s Tale." Ron Cephas Jones won for Best Guest Actor in a Drama, for portraying William Hill on "This Is Us.
