Well that was quick turnaround!
It looks the Oscars have already changed their mind about adding a 'Popular Films' category to the Award's Show.
Website comicbook.com shares that according to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter the Oscars will forego its newly announced category.
Academy CEO Dawn Hudson commented,
There has been a wide range of reactions to the introduction of a new award, and we recognize the need for further discussion with our members."
She added,
?We have made changes to the Oscars over the years ? including this year ? and we will continue to evolve while also respecting the incredible legacy of the last 90 years.?
