Broadcasting and Cable report that Doctor Who will debut on BBC America Sunday, October 7. The British sci-fi series stars Jodie Whittaker in her first season as the Doctor. The long-running program is a BBC America co-production with BBC Studios. The sci-fi series debuted in 1963, ran until 1989, and made a come back in 2005. The show follows the Doctor exploring the universe in a time-traveling vessel that looks like a phone booth called the TARDIS.
