According to Comicbook.com, The Harry Potter series was launched in the United States twenty years ago, today. Author J.K. Rowling has taken to social media to celebrate the anniversary of the American introduction to 'The Boy Who Lived'. Rowling wrote, "I'm sending lots of love to American Potterheads, who've given me some of the most memorable moments of my Potter-related life!". Although this is the anniversary of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" being released in the United States, the book was originally released as "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" in the United Kingdom on June 26, 1997.
