According to Screen Rant, Captain Marvel won't be an origin story for Brie Larson's Carol Danvers.

EW has revealed that Larson's Carol Danvers already has her superpowers when Captain Marvel begins.

She's already left her life on Earth behind and has teamed up with Jude Law's Kree army, known as Starforce.

She'll return to Earth when the threat of a Kree invasion is made.
