WDIV, a local television station in Detroit, Michigan, reported that Gladys Knight is battling pancreatic cancer.
This is the same disease that Aretha Franklin suffered from before she died.
But Rolling Stone suggests that the news may not be true.
The Detroit News recently amended the news story, after speaking with Knight's publicist.
Knight?s publicist Javier Delgado told them, ?She?s healthy. Someone must have misinterpreted,? denying that the soul singer has cancer.
When chatting about Aretha Franklin in recently with Us Weekly Knight admits to missing her friend, but being happy that she's no longer suffering.
Knight adds, "You know, people could see it. She just kept driving and driving, and she knew it was a disease that would take her out, and she just kept on doing what she does best. So Aretha, safe journey.?
