According to Reuters, Aretha Franklin?s funeral brings her home to her Gospel roots.
As mourners filled a Detroit church to celebrate the life of music legend Aretha Franklin, the air was filled with Gospel music, bringing all those in attendance to their feet clapping and singing.
In attendance was former US President Bill Clinton, and music legend Stevie Wonder.
Having sung at the inaugurations of three presidents - Jimmy Carter, Clinton and Barack Obama - Franklin was an American institution, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by then-President George W. Bush in 2005.
