Thursday was a special day for Simon Cowell!
Extra reports, not only did he renew his multi-year contract with NBC as a judge on ?America?s Got Talent,? he was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Simon was surrounded by loved ones, including girlfriend Lauren and their son Eric as well as Kelly Clarkson, the first "American Idol? winner, among many more.
Simon told Extra his son Eric woke up very excited, telling Simon ??I'm goin' to the ceremony! I'm goin' to the ceremony!?
