Trouble may be brewing for the writer of the novel turned hit film, 'Crazy Rich Asians.'
CNN reports that Kevin Kwan is wanted in Singapore, his place of birth, after he allegedly failed to register for national service.
Kwan could face up to three years in prison and/or a fine of $10,000 for failure to register.
According to Singapore's Ministry of Defense, "Mr Kevin Kwan failed to register for National Service (NS) in 1990, despite notices and letters sent to his overseas address.
