Always unpredictable, MTV's annual Video Music Awards kicks off on Monday night at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
CNN has the scoop on what to expect.
Rapper turned new mom, Cardi B will reportedly open the show. She leads with 10 nominations and will likely take home a few coveted 'Moonman' awards.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z also have eight nominations, and Donald Glover, also known by his rap name, Childish Gambino has seven nominations.
Jennifer Lopez will perform for the first time since 2001. She's also being honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Previous winners include Madonna, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, and Kanye West.
Scheduled performers include Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, and Nicki Minaj.
The VMAs will air live on both costs on MTV at 9pm EST/6 pm PST.
