According to a report by Uproxx, it now appears that both Disney and Marvel have decided not to bring back James Gunn as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy 3, nearly a month after he was fired for posting jokes about rape, pedophilia, and AIDS on social media. Variety originally reported that Disney chair Alan Horn issued a final decision that Gunn will not be reinstated. Uproxx reports that it still remains unclear who will step up to helm the third installment of the popular Marvel series.
