Clothing lines step aside, when it comes to star endorsements these days, celebrities are all about putting their name behind a book club.
The Wrap reports that many actors and TV hosts are following in Oprah's footsteps.
In June Jimmy Fallon launched "Tonight Show Summer Reads."
He asked viewers to vote for their favorites out of five books online and received 140,000 votes.
Amazon confirmed that Jimmy's selects made a sales impact.
He adds, "Any way to engage the audience and to do stuff with them is always more fun."
Actresses like Emma Roberts, Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Jessica Parker also have book clubs.
One of Reese Witherspoon's literary picks, "Little Fires Everywhere" by Celeste Ng will be a limited series on Hulu starring Witherspoon and Kerry Washington.
SJP partnered with the American Library Association to share her own suggestions, in hopes of increasing public library patronage.
