VIDEO : MTV Looks To Revive Reality Shows & Promote Social Causes

According to a report by Reuters, MTV is going through a resurgence on the heels of reviving reality shows such as "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation." MTV is reportedly once again looking to ride a new wave of teens fighting for a change to promote causes ranging from gun control to gay rights. MTV President Chris McCarthy told Reuters, ?The voice of young people is only getting louder and that has inspired us to elevate our game. Our job is to put a fire hose and amplify it.? According to Nielsen figures, following a five-year slump in viewers, the Viacom-owned network has seen four straight quarters of growth and its highest third-quarter prime time ratings in seven years.
